It was a big place but for the size it seemed well run with a varied age range. Made very welcome, not a bad experience for an advanced age person!

In general a very good stay, staff very helpful, I appreciated that you actively tried to maintain a backpacker/party character. Locker in room was a very nice touch, best showers I have seen at a hostel

Friendly staff, fun nightly activities, and houses a great group of travellers from around the world. I very much enjoyed my stay and recomment "Harbour City Backpackers" to anyone staying in Sydney.

The only real setback was that a few of the front desk workers were new and inexperienced and unable to really offer quality advice. Also, you pay at the beginning and refunds aren't offered unless you stay there again sometime, they'll spot you the night you previously paid for.
