i can not rate this hostel because i was not allowed to stay there. I am a single male traveler and I booked a mixed room. I was informed that i could not stayed in a mixed room; and that was not explained at your website.

For all those of you who are 'normal' people who are aware of the fact that you pay 18 dollars/night and thus do not expect a luxury suite, this is the best choice for your backpacking visit to LA. The rooms are big enough to store all your stuff and still be able to move around, the beds and linens are clean, lockers in the room (I did not use them though), big commom bathroom area, good breakfast (toast, oil spread, jelly) and very helpful staff - what I expected and more. The hostel is located right opposite the Kodak theatre which means that noise was a problem but if you don't need early nights it was definatley great value for money and free toast in the mornings kept me going for most of the day.

Staffs were kind and living room was cool.
I met there my country people so
I feel it was enjoyable.
The cleanliness is a little problem.
I recommend to stay there a few time.
