The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is a bit far from central london and can be difficult to travel to.

We were unsure of what a hostel in Brixton would be like. It turned out to be pretty good, however, we made sure that we weren't walking the streets late at night. Overall -- pretty decent.

This is the type of place to stay if you don't need anything. I got a key and could come and go as I pleased. It's about 30 min for the center of London so you have to take the bus or the tube. If you are looking for a friendly helpful staff, well they do have those qualities but they aren't very easy to find if you need anything. I would recommend this hostel to long term stayers or to people who are comfortable travelers who like to find their own way.
