Hostal Backpackers´ Inn en Quito, Ecuador

I tried to communicate with the staff before my arrival and wasnt able to get a response gregory, from USA ~ 5th Nov 2009

The staff is not knowledgeable about the area (No restaurant recommendations, did not know WIFI password, did not know how to get to attractions) They were apathetic, borderline rude. Front desk girl spent more time watching television in the communal area than at her station. Staff did not speak English. Not a good place to meet people. Nice kitchen and WIFI

oh oh oh, I do remember very well to never have seen you in the social area. I am very sorry that just at that time when you needed some help no one could help you. I was there everey day some hours and you never asked me anything. There was plenty of really nice people during your stay making friends in my hostal with other people, not staying in their rooms but starting a conversation with someone and sharing some time. It's just to laugh when you write that it is not a good place to meet people. When the girl was in the communal area that at her station is that ok, she is a part of all people and should not hide herself in the reception. Sorry when she was looking TV, that is not really a good thing. ????They were apathetic, borderline rude??? Something was not very ok with you two, there are no other people here since weeks having had such bad experiences... Hope you will be better attended on your further travel. Good luck guys, wish you the best and thanks for even staying longer than planned and booked. I don't think it was that bad and next hostel would have been just on the right, on the left, in front...
