Hostal El Cid en Valencia, Spain

September 27th,2009. Old building with very high steps and no elevator.Old doors and walls.When someone closed the door you could hear the slam.The toilet was very dirty, tiles and door included.There wasn't any shampoo or shower gel,only towels.There´s no common area or room for people to chat. Edificio viejo con altos escalones,sin ascensor.Si alguien cerraba la puerta se oía el portazo.Baño muy sucio,sin gel o champú,solo había toallas.No hay una zona para que la gente pueda charlar. Big spacious room, clean, nice bathrooms, no waiting even during la tomatina ! english speaking helpful staff. location good in the old quarter. no common room or kitchen, OR a fridge which was a little annoying. good stay ! Clare, from Australia ~ 28th Aug 2009

We visited the Formula One Grand Prix of Europe in Valencia. The Hostel is in the Heart of the historical City in the district EL Carmen. The staff was very friendly and they gave us useful informations arround the city Valencia. Only the the air conditioner was very noisy at least in our room.
