kanako, from Japan ~ 1st Jun 2012

this is the cleanest hostel i've ever stayed in. the location is just a stone's throw from the old town, tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood (and right next to the sarajevo beer brewery!). the son, jan, speaks perfect english, and yasmin's war tour is not to be missed. there is a nice common room where you can drink and smoke. i felt very welcome at this hostel. ross, from England ~ 4th Sep 2011

I had a good stay here.It is just up hill from the old part of town and the Latin Bridge.Takes five min to walk there. The family that runs the place is friendly and the father does war tours that are highly interesting. There is wifi and a small common room with computers.Met nice people here and had fun.It is a small and clean hostel. They will pick you up for free from the train/bus.Recommended. My personal expereince wasn't as good as most of the reviews here. My train to Sarajevo was late and knowing that it would be later than the free pick up time, arrive around midnight alone first time in Sarajevo worried me. I called the owner before train departed to explain my situation and asked if he could help me. But the owner said it was impossible, he couldn't help me, I should have taken a bus not train, how would I know the train would be that late and it wasn't my fault! I highly recomend this hostel. Very friendly and nice hosts. Makes you feel welcome and taken care of. If you'd like to really know what life's like in Sarajevo, and not just do touristy stuff, you should go here. And take the war tour! Maria H., from Norway ~ 29th Jun 2011

My train into Sarajevo was late by 4 hours because it broke down. I cabbed to the hostel and found that at 1:30 am they had stayed up waiting for me, and had been a little worried, and told me I should have called for a pickup. The family is amazing, they really care about you. The house is over 300 years old, restored very nicely, and it's only a few meters away from the famous Brewery, which I loved. You are downtown in a matter of 2-3 minutes. There is a fantastic view from the common room. Y Kate, from Canada ~ 6th Jun 2011
