Stayed in four-bed dorm on second-floor found the room clean and quiet. Lots of showers and toilets, with staff constantly cleaning the bathrooms during the day. Not impressed by included breakfast or having to wash own dishes (I don't mind per se, but I don't want to eat off something an 18-y-o backpacker just "washed"), but lots of good restaurants nearby. Dislike leaving room keys at front desk. Organized tours are good and this location is more social than their Suites location. Would re Carly, from Canada ~ 14th Jan 2012

i am staying back at the hostel amigo upon my return to mexico city before going back home. the food is excellent.the staff is helpful and courteous.the entertainment is fun. if you have tolerance for noise you may reconsider,i dont know when the music stopped but i was able to sleep well at night. A fun place! Great, friendly staff who are very eager to make your stay fun. Breakfast was much more than cold cereal and toast. Staff holds paties, movie nights, excursions, etc. etc. all for your enjoyment.The place is so huge, you can even just keep to yourself away from all the noise if you wish. Throwing parties at hostel lobby might be a good attraction at some times. However, it could be bring much noise when party guys acting out of control and yell to each other! The suites were phenomenal! Beautifully decorated- possibly one of the nicest hostels where I've ever stayed. The dorm rooms however- not the best. In the same space room I had for a private room for the dorms they crammed in 10 bed. Roma, from USA ~ 15th Aug 2011

I would definately recomment Hostel Amigo, especially if you are travelling alone.There were lots of opportunities to meet other travellers whether it was the fiestas or the guided tours from the hostel.The staff were fun and really helpful. Famy, from England ~ 29th May 2011
