Hostel Lao en Mendoza, Argentina

This was a great place to call home for a few days! There was a great crew of people and the fires and free wine were definitely a plus in the evenings! Close to the center of town and they have plenty of excursions. I would stay away from the Canyon de Atuel tour, however, it was a full 14 hr bus trip - a bit boring. But everything else was superb! We had a room at the front and it was quite noisy from the street but other than that it was a lovely place to stay, great owners and dogs were fun to play with, a lovely home.

all our rooms with windows onto the street have double glazing and a second window inside, which eliminate nearly all street noise. so most people don´t have any problems. but those old buses and cars do sometimes generate noise that you would hear in a nuclear bunker!

The staff was helpful and friendly! Had free wine in the evening. I miss the hammocks. Air conditioning in the rooms was nice. I had fun playing the stick game with the dog Astor.
