My friends and I are pretty chill when it comes to hostels...this one out did it though. We had to leave after 5 hours of being there because we had RATS in our room. Also, the stairs were so steep you had to climb them. To add on, there were stains all over the beds. And while we were there for 5 hours, some weird people walked into our "locked" room on accident... DISGUSTING! NOT WORTH IT FOR EVEN 5 EUROS! ashleigh, from USA ~ 9th Mar 2009

Don't go there!! First, you book a room with a bathroom which doens't exist, then, the receptionist try to sell you another "better" room..... totally disgusting and it will be imposible to get your money back if you want to change for another hotel. ROCAT, from France ~ 13th Feb 2009

We were only in Amsterdam for not even 24 hours, this hostel was perfect for a quick trip. The staff was very friendly, the room was small but just what we needed. The location couldn't have been better since we needed to get to and from the train station quickly, and it was a great area to walk around. Room filthy, tiny & cold. Gum & graffiti on walls. Lock broken on door. It's possible to have a conversation through the wall with people in room next door!! Was supposed to stay 4 nights left after 1 even though refund refused. Do not stay here if you want to enjoy your vacation. Owen, from Ireland ~ 18th Nov 2008
