Got a room last minute and at a very good price compared to what you can pay for a lot less in Rome. Is like a mini hotel with great rooms and en-suites, with cable tv and fridge in the room. The breakfast in the morning is very impressive and the decor throughout is as the name says very Colorful... Carlos, from New Zealand ~ 14th Sep 2011

Nice hostel, 10min from the Metro Ottoviano, not far from The Vatican. Bathrooms and rooms were clean. The staff wasn't awesome but they did the minimum. Nice terrasse at the 3rd floor. Fridges in the rooms. A computer w internet is at disposition for free. (regret that the breakfast was 5 euros extra and that there weren't any elevator) Wafa, from France ~ 12th Sep 2011

This hostel looks much like a regular Hotel , the only thing is that most of the rooms are dorms, so that reminds you you are in a hostel. No friendly welcome , no kitchen , no common living room to meet other people. only a little balcony. Wendy, from Netherlands ~ 6th Sep 2011

Really well ran hostel. Rooms ran almost hotel like with sheets, towel, and shampoo all included. There were also sinks in each room. Location is very close to the vatican. They have plenty of guidebooks and resources around the hostels and the rooms. They do have a nice hangout room that extends into a good sized balcony, good for hanging out but not a party hostel. They didn't have any organized events I knew of. John, from USA ~ 29th Jul 2011

Colors was my first hostel experience and definitely exceeded my expectations. I spent three nights in two different three-bed mixed dorms, and was pleased with both rooms (one had an ensuite bathroom, and the other had a shared bathroom down the hall but the shower in the room.) The staff were great and I felt safe and comfortable from the minute I walked in. I would stay here again if I wanted to be in the Vatican area. Alison, from USA ~ 26th Jul 2011

I stayed in a 3-bdrm mixed dorm and it exceeded my expectations! THe place was colourful, modern facilities, and very clean. I felt safe as a female traveler and my room mates were lovely (this was just luck). Staff were friendly. The continental breakfast for 5euro was ok kitchen staff were v. nice the pastries were cheap and disappointing but coffee, yougurt, cheese, etc was great! In our dorm, the shower did not have privacy so had to plan with room mates when to shower: toiletdown hall good Rachna, from Canada ~ 29th Jun 2011

This was more like a hotel than a hostel. A very good breakfast is included in the price and a maid comes in daily. I booked a private room with a shared bathroom - the only thing you'll have to share is the very clean toilet. There was a sink and shower in the room. Make sure to explore the area around the hotel. Rome is expensive, but there are some relatively cheaper cafes and supermarkets very close to the hotel. Katherine, from USA ~ 25th Jun 2011

Very nice hostel, well located, clean, good bathrooms. The only backside is the lack of "common rooms" to hang out and meet people...there are two small ones but very limited. Santiago, from Colombia ~ 16th Jun 2011

+ colorful + clean, free bath towel - Security : one key for the dorm, you have to leave it at the reception when you get out of the hostel - Poor wifi - Living room and terrace closed at 11pm - no television - breakfast is not included (5€) - mosquitos in this area :s Dounia, from Morocco ~ 16th Jun 2011
