First of all our roomwas incorrectly booked and we were forced to share a double bed when we rerquested a twin. Secondly the staff was extremley rude and condicending in that we had already paid and were stuck with the incorrect room, remarking that we had paid so we would have to deal with his error. Thirdly, the room was dirty, shower and bathroom were near unbearable. I am a college student and have stayed in some pretty bad hostels and dorms but this was the worst by far. ive stayed for two night in a dbl bed room. its cheap, no more than that. no shutters on the windows, and a funky smell in the room when windows are close. as i said, a cheap option but not a great one. staff was great though. Yaakov, from Israel ~ 31st Mar 2012

The staff was very friendly and I was surprised how clean the room and the bathroom were.I think not every Hotel is so clean like this little Hostel. In the floor the wallpapers were peeling off, yeah thats not really great, but its the floor, and it is a hostel! Next to the hostel is a little supermarket with very friendly personal which is also at 12 pm opened. A 2 min walk away is the gare de l´est by which we came to every place in paris. A really good experience! The room were small and not the most stylish I've seen, but it was very cheap and the location good, only ½ hour on foot from Les Halles. The hosts were very friendly and helpfull. This hotel is for people who just want a good bed (the bed was surprisingly good!!!) to sleep in close to the center of Paris, without having to pay a lot for it. :-) Elisabeth Nörresö, from Denmark ~ 6th Mar 2012

My major complaints about this location is that 1) the bed reeked like someone who hasn't bathed for months. REVOLTING. 2) there was a crying baby next door. When I asked to be moved, the staff responded the an outrageously rude manner and denied my request stating that "babies are a part of life" and "don't babies have rights, too?" I got the feeling that this wasn't the first time someone had asked to be moved from next door to the crying baby. Bottom line: WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGA Tabitha, from USA ~ 31st Dec 2011

Es un hotel muy sencillo pero limpio y con lo necesario para ir a dormir y descansar. Baños limpios y siempre con agua caliente. El ascensor no funciona. Nice little hostel, not too far from the city center (15 min. by metro). It's totally worth for the price. Do yourself a favour, because you don't get any better place downtown - those hotels are much more crowded, and very expensive. Eszter, from Hungary ~ 29th Nov 2011

The hotel is located conveniently within a 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord, a large train station connecting several metro and Paris train lines (from which you can reach both Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports, as well as Gare de Lyon - an international train station) . There are also other metro stations nearby from which most tourist destinations can be reached non-stop or in one connection. The hotel staff is nice and speaks English. We stayed in a double room.
