No heating in bathroom, thin walls - loud noise from the street at night, rude personnel at breakfast and at reception, broken windows, poor door locks. only benefit is its location in the central part of montmartre and closeness to metro. Natalia, from Russia ~ 12th Jan 2012

Good location - very close to metro station and lots of bars/restaurants. The room was clean, but very small and the paint was peeling. Complementary breakfast was a croissant, orange juice, and coffee. There didn't seem to be a way to lock our door from the inside, so we had to sleep with the door unlocked. TV only had one channel, which strangely seemed to be broadcast from Eastern Europe. All that said, if you're looking for a cheap place to sleep, it provides just that. Good: Conveniently located near Sacre Coeur, 2 Metro stations, at edge of Montmatre. Staff kept my bags before I Check-in, friendly and spoke ENG. BAD: Room's door about to break down, not possible to leave even a camera there during dinner. Drab dark room, cupboard and heater showed dirt of months if not years. Bed ok, they just clean the basics. Bathroom disgusting: Paint peeling everywhere, fungus in the shower, curtain unbelievably dirty, tiles missing, etc. VERDICT: Only for the desp Christian, from Germany ~ 11th Oct 2011

My main objection was with the staff there. There was an old (may be around 55 years old) person sitting on the reception when we entered the hotel, he just very very rudely told us to come back at 3PM to check in, even though our reported check in time was at 11AM. Such a rude behavior just destroyed my MOOD about the whole trip at the very outset. Then I have a lot complain about the interior space and cleanliness of the hotel. This was the absolute worst place I have ever stayed in all of my life. We arrived in Paris very late on the train, and we were locked out of the hotel as soon as we got there, due totheir curfew policy that was never disclosed to us. Ruined one of our last nights of vacation. When we were allowed in, the room was just disgusting, smelled of cigarettes and mold. Bathroom was horrible. I Didn't expect much, especially after reading some negative reviews. But my experience was excellent! We went with a group of 5 a twin bedroom and a room with 3 beds. Staff was very nice and helpfull and the rooms were really clean. Off course the locations also great. No realy complaints. The door of one of the rooms was a bit difficult to lock and maybe it's not the best neighbourhood to park your car... there was a lot of broken carglass on the side of the street...
