When I tried to check in the first time (at 2), they were "cleaning the room." So I left my luggage in their storage which is a mostly unattended pile of bags right beside the front desk. Upon returning, three hours later, I was told "there is a repairman fixing your air conditioning." I wasn't happy, but I said "ok," and went back out. Two hours later I was finally let into my room, and not only was the door to the room left WIDE OPEN for who knows how long, but the AC still wasn't working. Meredith, from USA ~ 17th Aug 2009

I used hostels before in case you think I got it wrong. I would never use this place again. The room had a step in the tiled floor and taps on the wall, most likely bathroom in the past. one battered chair with stainz, little lamp with dirty lampshade, bare walls, rather depressing ! Small enclosure 5'x5' accommodated WC, shower and basin. No shower tray, treshold only 2", so when showering the water runs over the whole area and possibly over the low treshold to the bedroom. The receptionist was so so rude and spoke little English.He is an old and uncivilised man. Room is equiped with aircon but we are not allowed to use. We complained that we could not lock the door properly and they answered "we will look into it tomorrow" and obviously they did not do so. We felt so unsecured. They din bother to tell us that breakfast was provided and we have missed the breakfast for 2 days. When the price of a single room is lower than a 4-bed mixed dorm in a hostel, I am a bit worried. But after all, it's a no-frill hotel. Breakfast is simple bread and cereal with cappuccino, the room is cleaned regularly and they even have a TV in the room (albeit an antenna-TV so you have to adjust it yourself). Location is nice and quiet, but still near Metro and central station. The hotel is on the 2nd floor so you have to look carefully for the right door. Antonius, from Indonesia ~ 10th Jun 2009
