We were impressed that the owner personally cared that we would have an enjoyable time in Vietnam. He shared with us much essential information on how to get around with taxis, exchange currency, get good Vietnamese food, great shopping, what are the best sights and even personally showed us the art of crossing the streets with the constant stream of motorbikes. The staff went beyond all expectations and made our introduction to Vietnam so much easier. Staying/dining in a residential area was a far more interesting and "authentic" Saigon experience than the backpacker district. The Ho Van Hue Bed and Breakfast is located about 10 minutes outside city center from the sights, but the neighborhood has fantastic restaurants. Xavier (the proprietor) and his staff provide you with attentive and fantastic service. The B&B includes many perks, including its location on a quiet alley, a bunch of english TV channels, free internet, free bottled water, bathtubs, a breakfast of super-fresh fruit, and more.
