Easily the best hostel bed I slept on - thick and firm (no saggy, musty mattresses). The rooms and kitchen are a bit cramped but you do get by. Can get cold in winter though. Hot water bottles provided for everyone. Shawn, from Malaysia ~ 20th Jan 2012

Close to the train station, but a long walk from where the Intercity bus dropped us off, bearing in mind that a lot of Christchurch centre has been cordoned off following the earthquake. Accommodation was clean and comfortable.Kitchen was average cleanliness, but well-equipped.Staff friendly.The main reason for staying here for us was the novelty factor, and the accommodation didn't disappoint. This hostel is freezing!!! There is no heating. If you want to pay money to basically sleep in a freezing cold jail then stay in this place. I stayed in a 2-bed dorm cause thats all that was available and it was tiny. The staff, however, were really nice and friendly. Marianne, from England ~ 10th Sep 2011

Excellent location in Addington where you can find many shops for food/supplies etc. Good sturdy bunk-beds. Each guest get his own locker. Helpful staff. Kept clean overall. Recommended. Matt, from Malaysia ~ 18th May 2011
