I would check for other motels and hostels in the area, as you do not get good value for the price you pay for the room! There was a cigarette burn on the quilt, unpleasant stains on the bed, and the rooms are very out dated and rather seedy. The lobby and reception area look alright, but you don't sleep there...

the building is old, but functional. the lock on my room door seemed rather weak. the thing on my bed was a poor excuse for a mattress. not much hanging out in common areas. as far as the walk up queen street keeping one fit, the hill isn't that steep. however, i received a decent rate on a single room, and for that i am thankful.
