I stayed here as I was going to be running the NY Marathon. The location was good. It was only 5 minutes max to the nearest subway 116st. I had a bunk bed room on it own. The room was basic but i did not really mind that. The only thing that caught me by surpirse was that I had to share a room with 3 other people (on different nights) but no one at reception warned me about this. I did not mind sharing but it just would have ben nice to be pre warned. I was luckly that the people I share David, from England ~ 5th Nov 2009

The Elevator might be working going down, but not working going up. The private rooms are good if you want to have you're own Bathroom. Good place, only serving free breakfast m-f mornings. Anahit, from USA ~ 3rd Nov 2009

Customer service was terrible. They double booked the bed given to us, and when confronted about it early in the evening, did not attempt to fix it. I was told the girl that was given the other bed, was checked out, despite all of her belongings in the room. I came back at 3 am to find her there, and they offered no solution. I had to share a bed with the friend I travelled with. The next morning when I went down to check out, I politely explained what happened and to see if I could be reimburse emily, from USA ~ 26th Oct 2009

This is a really Great Hostel! It is new, clean, great staff, nice people from all over the world and only 5 stops from Times Square with The Express... :) BUT I did NOT feel safe in the neighbourhood! I got bullied twice. Let´s say: It is okay if you are not alone, but I would not recommend it for women who travel alone! Again: If you are a group of people it´s ok, but if you are alone, don´t go there!
