La Casa del Tio en Guanajuato, Mexico

The staff was unfriendly and told me to walk to the public phone to call a cab if I wanted one. The place is a dirty as hell, with TWO other travelers (male and female) complaining about a urine smell in their beds. Fortunately mine didn't smell. The bathrooms are unkempt, and don't expect hot water. One shower's cold-water knob was broken too. The breakfast consists of poor coffee and sliced bread. I walked back into the room 5 hours after we checked out and they had not changed the sheets, they just made the beds. Believe me you DO NOT want to sleep in my sheets after what i did to them that night haha. They did not have a key for our room, nor did they have locks for the lockers so we had to carry our stuff with us. Bathrooms were not the worst i've seen in a hostel but they were nothing to brag about. Ruby, from USA ~ 6th Jul 2009
