Le Montclair Montmartre en Paris, France

Excellent dorm en suite. Only bad thing -- lots of noise all night from people talking and drinking below in street. Good breakfast, and really clean. Totally recommend. Owen, from USA ~ 2nd Oct 2009

The kitchen was a joke, not a funny joke. The elements didn't work, there were about 4 dishes and a small fridge for way too many people. Kind of wrecked any of the positives of the place Erin, from Canada ~ 28th Sep 2009

Showers are kind of iffy but bring flip flops. Kitchen is great place where everyone hangs out and chit chats and shares leftovers. Had a blast. Staff is SUPER friendly and helpful :) Anna, from USA ~ 21st Sep 2009

Average in all ways. Kitchen was filthy, and internet was the most expensive here of all the hostels we stayed at on our four week trip. Location is good, safe area of Montmartre with easy access to supermarkets and restaurants, short walk to the Sacre Coeur and the Metro station. Average all-around. Anne, from Canada ~ 2nd Sep 2009

The staff is great, very friendly. They al spoke English and French. I would get the six bedroom and a bottom bunk because I switched rooms many times and these were the biggest cleanest rooms. Nicole, from USA ~ 4th Sep 2009

Terrible place! The cleanliness was not up to standards. I don't expect the Hilton but when there are bugs and mould all over the place, I draw the line. A lot of noise too in the streets, all the way into the early hours. Hard to close the windows to shut it out when it is hot (no AC). Ricardo, from Canada ~ 5th Sep 2009

My friend and I stayed in a twin room with a shared bathroom. We were on the 6th floor and the bathroom was shared with the 5th floor, but was never too busy so this didn't matter. The bathroom and room were acceptably clean, and while the toilet was possibly the smallest I've ever seen, it was also clean. The view from the 6th floor window was great, and so were the helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast lady was a bit of a toughie, but I guess someone has to reinforce the '1 bread, 1 jam et Leigh, from New Zealand ~ 23rd Aug 2009
