The environment of kitchen area is nice, however the ventilation should be improved, the cooking smell fulfilled all the space when someone is stir-frying, english manual for the stove is preferred too. Ho Fei, from China ~ 22nd Feb 2012

Mingtown Nanjing Road - is greatly located being 10 mins from the river and 2 mins from the metro station (Nanjing Road East). I never booked any trips throught the hostel itself as you can book boats trips down on the river front. The hostel is in a great loaction for busy, bustling restaurants. I was disappointed that when I tried to order from the hostel menu that every item I picked was unavailable - which left me a sandwich for tea. We always go to this Hostels but this time we had a bad experience. We didn´t have any hot water after 7p.m all the day, and also the internet was not working at all and when i when to speak with the man in charge he just answer to me "it is broken" and turn around. they just have internet in the cafeteria but not in the rooms.
