Wow the Ngara Youth Hostel....This was an experience like no other! First of all the good points: the staff are friendly and actually very helpful, you could say the place has quite a fun vibe about it, but's that it! We found when we got there the windows to our room were replaced with plastic bags, one of the walls of the room was so badly damaged it had been totally covered up by a board of wood and when we wanted to leave our bags in the room we were told there are no locks on the door but '

my bed had old rice crusted in the washed sheets and its in a slightly dodgy section of the city center neighborhood, but the staff are so nice and generous. security gets a good rating because the walls have both barbed wire AND shards of broken glass at their tops.
