Great location, beds were quite uncomfortable and loud everytime you moved. Ensuite bathroom was a plus. Would recommend this hostel to others, just hope you get a better bed than I had!

bathrooms were generally flooding from the showers, had to pay for an extra item such as a towel or internet, staff was really friendly and helpful. Beds where extremely creaky and hard to sleep at night, the room was stuffy with hardly any ventilation. Kathryn, from USA ~ 14th Apr 2012

Upon Checking in, the Receptionist on duty was very rude -Telling me that I should go find someone to get my suitcase up the stairs. For a hostel that size, there should be some sort of a ramp style facility for getting baggages up to the hostel considering they are located on the 3rd floor.(hostels in Europe have it) Otherwise, everything else was just fine.
Sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience on check-in. We are fully disabled accessible with entrance ramps and an elevator up to the rooms - I will make sure everyone on the team knows to inform guests about these on check-in in future. in the three nights that I stayed, the bathroom was not cleaned once.Shower curtain inadequate size for the shower stall in the ensuite.Insufficient cooking space for the number of people using kitchen.the cost was $60 per night because of rugby and was far surpassed by another hostel in Paraparaumu which was less than half the price - they never raised their fees.Had to pay the top rate on a non-rugby night even though I changed my reservation in advance and the bed would have been used Rosemary, from Canada ~ 4th Oct 2011

There are much better hostels in Wellington for the same price. They charge you for everything. Laundry is 2 NZD for 15 minutes, wifi 4 NZD per hour (!!!) Sorry, but the website says they are for free, but they are definitely NOT...! VERY POOR
Hello Torsten. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I apologize for any inconveniece. We try to ensure pricing is fair across the board for all guests. The laundry is $1 for 15 minutes, but the great thing is the service is available 24/7. As for Internet, its always been $4 per hour. I apologize for any mistake on a website. If you could let me know which website states that Internet is free, I will change this asap. Thank you again.
