I had lots of fun at Palermo House. All of the staff were really nice and helpful and the other people staying here were also amazing and fun to be around. We booked a 6 bedrooms for 5 on the website, when we arrived there they wanted to split us in 2 different rooms. They didnt want to help, the staff was really poor and not friendly, we were really dissapointed. The bathrooms are disgusting. There is way better hostels in palermo! Ok, so overall Palermo house was an enjoyable stay. Staff, location, party factor and the ease of meeting people were the by far highlights. If you are someone high maintenance though, you may have a few issues with bathrooms. However, if you are looking for fun and a great atmosphere don't miss PH. Great hostel with lots of character,staff are really friendly and speak very good english!we booked a 9 man dorm but they upgraded us to a 6 man dorm for the same price which was great.the common are is like no other i have ever been to,so cool and chilled out!would defo stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!! louis, from Scotland ~ 1st Nov 2011

So cheap its hard to complain but there were some problems. Freezing showers almost all the time.... Bathrooms often dirty and pretty horrible.. Really bad light in the room.. . . Broken bed. . . Very artsy neo-hippy type spot. Value and location are both great. Staff was friendly and helpful. They don't let you bring in outside alcohol but they sell beer and wine pretty cheap and there's almost always reunion in the common area at night. Biggest complaint would be that the room had no windows and my roomates had the habit of sleeping all day. Palermo House is a super nice place, located close to a plaza where all the fun of Palermo is centralized. Inside the hostel all the walls are covered with murals in all colors, giving it aartistic touch in a really bohemian way! Next to the common room is a terrace where you can enjoy the view and catch some fresh air while resting in a hammock, whenever barbecues are not held. Definitely recommended!
