Atmosphere, staff and location is fine, but it is completely unacceptable that is not possible to lock any toilet doors! 2 out of 3 showers were not working. Hostel is very noisy during night, even though people try to be quiet if they come home late or leave early. You hear any noise, every step, any door very clearly through paperthin walls. PROS & CONS CONS: 1) The Bathrooms are the worst part about this hostel. Although they're cleaned on a daily basis, they are filthy dirty, wet, slippery, congested, stinky and over all terrible. The owners however, told me that they will be renovating and rebuilding the bathrooms. They are NOT handicap accessible. 2) The beds are quite small. Bunk beds for school kids, not adults. But i suppose that's Europe. PROS: 1) Very CHEAP Price 2) EXCELLENT STAFF. VERY helpful and fun to be ar Zaid, from USA ~ 14th Feb 2012

My only complaints are that there were no locks on the bedroom doors and that the bathrooms were minuscule. The shower space was literally 1.5ftx1.5ft. But the staff is great and the location is awesome in Belem but a little far from bars and other main sights. Jessica, from USA ~ 5th Nov 2011

a very nice place, a little outside of the center, but close to the water and to the Belem Castle, very friendly and helpful staff, a great place to start to explore Lisbon Alex, from Germany ~ 28th Nov 2011

The hostel is in Belem which is the part of Lissabon and is located a little bit far from the center, but there are good bus and tram connections and the place is very nice. There are a lot of facilities in the kitchen and the staff isvery helpful und friendly. We were enjoing the stay there. Although the bathroom is very small and at the evening it looks very dirty. But I think, it depends on the peoplewho stay there at the moment. Julia, from Germany ~ 2nd Oct 2011

The hostel, house, place in lissabon etc. is really nice. The only big problem of this hostel is that it's just too packed and the dorms just filled with a max of beds... result of this overpacking that the small kitchen is much too small for all that crowd and the worse was the really small girl's bathroom (90% of the 50 beds were booked by girls when we were there...) with 3 showers and 2 small toilet boxes. That's also why my rate of cleanliness is so bad - just impossible to keep that clean. Stefanie, from Germany ~ 31st Aug 2011

This hostel was very quaint. It's not the biggest but everything fits, everything works and everything is clean. The staff was friendly. The location is a little far from the center but the bus does stop right in front of it. A kitchen for everyone to use. Free computer access for people who didn't bring along their laptops. Breakfast also included. Only 1 Euro to store your bag after you check out and can still have access to everything like kitchen, bathroom and shower. Mason, from USA ~ 9th Sep 2011

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in in my life!!! Cheap, clean, all new, with a touch of style, wide range of drinks in the bar and a cosy terrace, veeery safe.... The personnel always willing to help, carrying for every tiny detail, and remembering every guest's name make you feel just like at a friend's place! Hope the guys will manage to keep this atmosphere as long as possible ) Zoya, from Russia ~ 16th Aug 2011
