The bar and balcony are fantastic. Great view of the city and have great food and drinks. Have to pay quite a bit to put bag in a locker. Rooms got really hot during the day but at night they cooled down so they were fine. Market is very good with lots of stuff for sale. Bus stop right outside is very handy. A bit annoyed that a block of showers got blocked off in the morning for cleaning when everyone wanted a shower so we had to wait. Very cheap but a great place to stay! Restaurant staff were realy unfriendly and the food they served was realy bad (They sell cakes out of date). The toilets were very dirty. From 7am the tents became realy hot and at night they got cold. We wouldn't stay there again. RITA, from Portugal ~ 10th Aug 2009

The view was absolutely amazing, and the bar was a great place to hang out at and the people working there were really nice. The market at the camp were open really odd hours but the stuff was super cheap. It was also really easy getting into town and back. The only bad things were the tents and the beds, I'm pretty sure that there were bed bugs and the tents are incredibly hot after 9.00 in the morning. Patrick, from USA ~ 12th Aug 2009

Tents were clean and better than I expected. Wood looking linoleum floor with bunk bed and regular bed. Small lights mounted to the tent's metal frame to provide light inside. The tents are like mini greenhouses during the day. Heat from the sun gets trapped inside and its ridiculously warm. It was only a problem when we woke up in the mornings. It was cool by the time we got back in the evenings. Showers were extremely clean, the toilets were pretty good as well. No AC outlets in the Jacob, from USA ~ 9th Jul 2009

we have the tent and the tent is really not recommended, it is worthing more than it can, you ahve to leave your electronic devices in the W.C. if you wanna recharge that, and the shower room is weird to locate right next to the bar which you have to pass by that crowd everytime with sleeping gawn.Food there is not good as well still, one good thing, staff there is quite friendly and good english King Ying, from Hong Kong ~ 4th Jul 2009

I liked the fact that there was some space beside the tents to sit outside. We brought our own camping stools with us and that was useful. I also appreciated getting a tent near the top of it hill, it would have been a long walk to the toilet block from the bottom. Alexander, from Scotland ~ 27th Jun 2009

This is an okay place to stay. The location is really nice, and the tents are decent. However, the bathroom and showering facilities could have used some better maintaining. Megan, from USA ~ 18th Jun 2009

I literally did not want to leave! It made me realize how lucky I am just to be alive. You have the best view of Florence! The bus is easy, but I preferred to walk. The staff was ridiculously nice and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean, there's a restaurant, a market, internet access, it's located right next to a five star hotel, there are little baby kittens running around your feet while you gaze down on Brunelleschi's Dome! It didn't feel real. Thank you! Jessica, from USA ~ 12th Jun 2009

No kitchen facilities like hot water for drinking etc. No plugs for laundry sinks, bring your own. Reception staff informative. Very good view over city, good location. Karina, from New Zealand ~ 4th Jun 2009
