Portsmouth & Southsea Backpackers Lodge en Portland, Inglaterra

This has become a resident hotel for people who can't afford to live anywhere else in Portsmouth. On the dorm bunkbeds, the lower and upper bunks are so close an adult cannot sit up in bed. The hostel admits guests up to 11 p.m., so dorm residents may be awakened up to midnight. When I tried to use the shower in the dorm room, the shower head fell off, the curtain and rod fell down, and the temperature gauge wasn't actually connected to anything. Big, big mistake! The room was small. Lamp by the bed does not work. Very few shower and washroom (luckily each time I could use it without a queue). No breakfast available. Limited reception hours (check out before 10am but reception only open at 10am...) Nothing interesting (winter) within 10 mins walk. Staff can't even tell me where to take the bus to train station... I will only stay here because of 10 miles Great South Run (3 mins walk from Start/Finish point) Wang Fung, from Hong Kong ~ 2nd Nov 2011
