Great hostel, a little noisy with thin walls/roof insulation. Apart from that really good. John, from Australia ~ 31st May 2012

To begin with I felt this hostel could just be the best I have stayed at in the world. Having travelled for the past ten years thats a big compliment. However,I did feel the staff(excluding security and maiteneance who were fantastic)were not so eager to please. We were charged $95 at reception for a private airport transfer which according to the meter in the cab should only have been $70. I felt staff in charge feel they can do as they please and seem frustrated with visitors. Its such a shame! Pamela, from England ~ 10th May 2012

Reggae Mansion in KL is a really nice and comfortable hostel to stay in. For better or worse, however, it is run more like a hotel. Although the facilities are very nice and safe (armed security), almost any amenity costs extra: movies, internet, even ice! That said the facilities are really quite well kept, with a proper built-in theater and restaurant where the food is actually pretty good. Deepak, from USA ~ 5th May 2012

101% Recommended!!! from now on, I'll stay here every time im in Malaysia-KL!!! I LOVE the Staff/Crew soooo FRIENDLY, NICE!!! Your employer must give you a raise for that. You guys are the asset of your hostel. from Reception to Security persons... Its more a HOTEL TYPE not HOSTEL... So modern type. Keep it Up!!! Easily the best hostel I have ever stayed at. The Dorms are massive the food is really good there are lots of trips organised by the hostel and the rooftop bar is probably one of the best places to drink in the city. Couldn't ask for more! Darren, from Scotland ~ 27th Apr 2012

Very big hostel but they definately know how to run a hostel... If youve ever been to Gilligans in Cains you know what I'm talking about. The dormitories are the best I've ever seen and you have so much privacy in your little "cave" behind the curtains. If you like a place with a party atmosphere, located right next to the train station downtown that besides from that have really nice bathroom facilities and is really clean... Well this is paradise! This place is the hostel to end all hostels. The facilities are incredible - basically your are staying at a 4-star hotel with dorm bunks. And the beds are large and comfy. Each bed is in its own alcove with walls on three sides and a curtain you can pull across the 4th for privacy like a Japanese capsule hotel. Drawbacks: the DJ's at the rooftop bar blast music late into the night. Reception doesn't explain things adequately, so I ended up returning repeatedly to ask how to get hot water, Carl, from USA ~ 10th Mar 2012

It was a good stay though the staff service could be improved upon. Yiling, from Singapore ~ 4th Mar 2012

We stayed in private rooms. The facilities are amazing. A really nice house and a great atmosphere. However, the place is LOUD. The staff are (for the most part) resposible for this. I had to step out several times at 3.30 AM to ask the staff to be quiet and respect the sleeping guests. Therefore, BRING EARPLUGGS. We have slept a total of 4 nights in different private rooms and it was the same experience in both rooms. Read Owner Comments Andreas, from Sweden ~ 20th Feb 2012
