I arrived with a huge... suitcase and a lot of stuffs and stay in mixed dormitory, but everything's fine. The staff was really nice (he helped me with the huge suitcase) and the location itself is really nice because you can go everywhere quite easily. This is a very basic hostel. There is not much going on (advantage it's quiet). Room has no windows. It's pretty hot (no airco, but small ventilator). No kitchen, I think. They clean the room everydaythough and make up the bed. You get a small towel. We had to get used to it at first (it's really basic). We booked 20 Bed dorm, but in this room where about 25 beds. They never closed the door, so that you where sleeping with an open door to the street.Only 3 bathrooms for about 40 or 50 people and for the price the staff said:what are you expecting for 15 euros?! I have been in really nice hostels with included breakfast for less than this. If you are able to sleep with light all night and noises from everywhere,people and staff who have no respect for their roommates/guest,it could be ok for yo Lisa, from Germany ~ 19th Aug 2009

Withhout any advice, we were moved to another hostel, far away from the center. No breakfast in the other Hotel, no english speaking receptionist. NOTE: We book the hostel just because of its position. Not recommended. Luca, from Italy ~ 17th Aug 2009

A very unpleasant situation happened to us: when we arrived they told us they did not receive any confirmation of our booking from Hostels.com, and for that apparently they did not have any room for us (although I even confirm our arrival the night before). They even pretended they sent to me (although the problem was with the website) an Email, asking to confirm my booking (nobody could tell me who and when sent it, and of course I never received it), then they tried to suggest us another host Erika, from Italy ~ 25th Aug 2009

The hostel is not new and fresh, but clean and with nice staff. Breakfast was poor and only served from 7-9 am and there was a queue. Its located close to the marina in faro town and you can take the bus to the beach (appx.8km?) Ida Helene, from Norway ~ 18th Aug 2009

In this "residence"there was no bathroom - for 22 people in one room. There also was no breakfast, although it was supposed to be included in the price. This hostel is not very secure - the do not close the main door so that anybody can come in and take your things away. I would not recommend it to anyone! Maria, from Poland ~ 11th Aug 2009

Do not go to this hostel. Like many other, we booked a room but ended up not sleeping there. The owner pretended to help people out by finding another place to stay. After several hours of waiting and several experiences with an incredibly rude and disrespectful staff, the owner drove us outside of town to another hostel. We ended up paying him for our stay (which, we found out later, was 15 euro's extra than the regular price of the hostel) and having him smiling and stating he was 'always Elisabeth, from Netherlands ~ 24th Aug 2009

we booked this hostel but when we got there, it was full. The guy from the hostel said hostels.com/hostelbookers etc. are not working properly. He had to send 12 people away already, easy way to make money! So please don't book this hostel because when you get there, there is a good chance that the hostel is full.
