Initially we were welcomed by a girl who works there, but then came a man who is addicted to Internet chat at the reception and is constantly smoking, treating customers with disdain the whole place is the smell of cigarette. A hostel that is more like a hotel: we had a big room with our own bathroom. Everything was clean and the bathroom new, so no crappy shower experiences here! We also had a telly and a small fridge and access to the shared kitchen. If you like some privacy after long days of strolling around Florence, this is an ideal place to stay and just a few blocks away from the heart of the city. There is no one at reception most of the time, and the doors are always left unlocked so anyone can get into the hostel.Copies of passports were left out on a desk where anyone could grab them.Random people were allowed to sleep on the couches in the reception area.A mouse ran across my face while sleeping.The dorm consisted of 3 single beds and a double bed where people had to sleep together.The kitchen is unkept.It was a very uncomfortable place to stay.
