It was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT, I checked out early. Bathrooms was DISGUSTING, bedroom floors were dirty and the linens were NOT fresh as I found hairs all over them!! When leaving one day early I had asked for my money back and got NOTHING!! The place was super expensive for the location and NOT worth. I ended up checking into another Hostel that was 100% cleaner. Totally ok hostel to spend a few nights in. Very central and close to the subway. On the other hand, the bathroom was very dirty, the whole weekend. We had no electricity in our room except the ceiling light. One night we woke up and it was like a sauna in the room .. But it worked for a few nights and the price was really good. Don't have any expectations! It is old and the rooms are small. The staff is very friendly. 96th Str. is a good location. The subway to downtown is around the corner. Great for young (party) people with a low budget. :-) Silke, from Germany ~ 22nd Oct 2009

Royal Park Hostel is no comfortable Hotel, but if you just want a cheep place to sleep it is fine. It is not the cleanest i have ever seen but it ist okay! Stefanie, from Germany ~ 20th Oct 2009

In my room, the bathroom door locked itself on my second night. Don't think breakfast is served at this location. The hostel is very close to the subway station, within 2 blocks. For being that far distance from time square, the value for the stay was very good, if you didn't mind losing all the valuable time, especially when construction was performed during my stay.
