It's a very clean place in a very quiet street. The host of this hostel understands English and very friendly. The shower room has a pleasant view of the little backyard garden. This place is very close to Tambaguchi JR station. If you have a JR Rail pass, it's a convenient place to stay. HAIWEN, from Canada ~ 14th Dec 2011

This is a very nice place to stay. One stop away from Kyoto station, it is a traditional Ryokan. Not fancy, but traditional. The hostess/manager is this extremely nice lady, who is so very helpful. If you're in Kyoto to experience traditional Japan, then I highly recommend this place. Rahul, from India ~ 20th Sep 2011
