Sandy Hostel en Rome, Italy

Despite the excellent location, there was little indication that the hostel was even there. A larger sign on the street would make finding the place much easier. The cleanliness could also be improved. Alyn, from Canada ~ 18th Oct 2009

Hostel was OK ..just rooms to sleep in and showers..dont expect anything more ..but beds were nice clean ...there is no place for any socializing ...eventho ..it turned out to be great fun with she roommates in the nite ..thanx to Anna and Aristides ,-)) ..so if looking just for a clean beds close to the station its a good deal. adam, from Slovakia ~ 16th Aug 2009

Staff was very helpful and nice when ate friend was sick. Hostel was up about 5 flights of stairs and the elevator costs 10 cents. Otherwise it was nice Cameron, from USA ~ 22nd Jul 2009

- The loctaion on fourth floor should be mentioned clearly on website - 2 toilets for so many rooms and people??? How on earth does this meet the basic standards?????? - V badly designed toilets, creaking doors and bugs....where are the basics of sanitation? - Beds- CREAKY, WOBBLY (if the person on the bunk above climbs up or turns side, the one on the lower bunk gets disturbed + the beds wobble threatining to topple over) - Beds- loose springs, bad mattresses - The hostel built more like

Dear customer, Please note that our hostel is for youth travelers. In our Booking condition... WE DO NOT ACCEPT CUSTOMER OVER 40Y. OLD!! We've made you a favour to let you stay because Rome was packed. Your comment it's over the line!! We do have only 2 rooms without bath and all the others they've got a privit bathrooms and showers. Bugs?? could you prove that!? You are the only one who saw that and feel that!! We hope that you've made a mistake discriving our place with another hostel. Regards

We generally had a great stay here. The people, both guests and staff, were really friendly. The only complaint is that the shower in our room did not have hot water. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay. Alicia, from USA ~ 14th Jul 2009
