Santa Lucia Hostal en Merida, Mexico

Great place to stay, conveniently located and has air con at night which is great when its been a 45 degree day. FYI, when they are not busy they only put air con on in one dorm so you may not end up sleeping in the dorm you book if you want the air con (was the mixed dorm when I stayed) but this wasnt a prob for me. Staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast was good (eggs, fruit, coffee and sometimes bread) and they have filtered drinking water for guests too. Stayed here twice. Generally I had a pleasant stay at the hostel - thanks. I would pass on the address. Just one suggestion to improve the climat and air circulation in the rather hot dormitory: the installation of simple door openings in the lower part of the doors to the rooms may allow for better air circulation in the otherwise pleasant rooms with high ceilings. Further, 1 sink in the women bathroom is too little!! What about converting 1 shower in 1-2 sinks?? And please maintain the closure mechanism of the t Angelique, from Belgium ~ 6th Jan 2009
