Shanglin Hostel en Beijing, China

As of May 09 the nearest subway station is closed so the place is a difficult to get to (and find). The hutong's main street is dug up for pipe line work so the area is very dirty right now. - The hostel's lobby is beautiful but that's about it! The rooms are clean but seriously in need of renovation. - All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Don' expect to get useful info. They know almost nothing about the sights. - Not recommending it.
