shoestrings is a great meeting point for travellers and locals. always lively, always fun. have stayed there many times and will recommend to anybody, that is up to an out of the ordinary experience. beate - owner of www.safariscout.com

Cheap beers at happy hour.:-)The twin room had cockroaches(!) - so we asked to move.The guy with dreads behind the bar was rude and unhelpful and told us nothing could be done but their is a really nice guy who works at their travel desk and he moved us to a double which was good and clean.Would come again but book the expensive double room. A great chilled out hostel, the most lively accomm in vic falls.Rooms are nicely decorated but very basic (especially the bathroom!), only - private room had no door or screen between room and toilet/shower!On the grounds is a food place, beauty therapy (which is very reasonably priced) a bar and couple little shops.Nice staff, especially the owner lady.No one hassels you in there (although as soon as your out the gate the hasselling begins) and overall well worth the money.
