The only thing that's not so great about staying here is Chungking Mansions. If you are going to be staying here a while be prepared to be met every day as you walk out of the elevator with a million offers for fake watches, tailored suits and hotels. Also, this hostel uses the elevators way off to the right of the bottom floor. Had some trouble finding it. Still though, the hostel was super clean, staff was friendly and the price was good. The hostel rooms are incredibly small with 2-3 feet of space on 1 side of the single bed and a tiny bathroom. The rooms are clean and I had no any problems during my stay. The hostel is in the infamous Chunking Mansions building but the location is fantasticopposite a key MTR (train) station and located in the posh Nathan Road area close to the Peninsula hotel and the waterfront. We were located on other floor, which no lift is available, so we walk on foot from 7th to 10th by stairs :( then we requested 3 rooms for 8 persons, but they only gave us 2 rooms for 8.. after complaining, they gave 1 more room.. but so small, the toilet door is broken, not clean, i think it was broken room they gave us Monika, from Indonesia ~ 10th Dec 2011

I was a little intimidated by the building when i first walked in but the hostel was pretty decent. There were gates that made the place safe and despite the small rooms and bathrooms, the place was pretty adequate for a place to sleep for the night. Location is perfect to get anywhere around hk. The location wasn't too bad.Easy access to the metro and in a nice area of Kowloon with many sights near by to see.However, the building the hostels (plural, because one owner, owns MANY hostels and you might find yourself moved from hostel to hostel as we were.Luckily for us, the move was a million time improvement!!) are in is a bit dirty and not the nicest place to have to walk through to get back to your bed at night to take a rest.But for the money and the limited time we were there it wasn Meagan, from USA ~ 25th Aug 2011
