A bit out of the way so if it's your 1st port of call you will get fleeced by taxi or tuk tuk. Once you've bedded down it's a doddle to walk to Wat Arun on the river and take the 3 Baht ride across to go where you need by river taxi which is excellent, then onto the metro or sky train which are great as well. As for the place itself it's great value, great people to deal with, along with a superb pool, laundry, everything really. Paul, from England ~ 11th Nov 2009

We spent three nights in Sivalai place and had a very good time. The location is quiet and safe, the rooms are huge and clean...we felt like we were in a luxury hotel, not a guesthouse. Staff friendly and helpful, the rooms are imaculately. The resturant food is delicious and the coffee shop an added bonus. The pool is a must. Excellent wifi conection through the building. The room was amazing, as was the hospitality. It is a bit far from the frenzied chaos of some of places such as Kao San Rd and China Town, but the staff eagerly arranges taxi rides to such places and these rides generally cost less than a Starbucks coffee.
