Ronny and his family were so helpful and supportive! They were very informative about booking tours and giving advice for things to do around the area. The rooms were clean and spacious, internet was readily available, and the breakfast (included) was delicious. Doesn't look particularly glamorous from the outside, but the great service and accommodations definitely make this a great hostel! Recommended 100% Enid, from USA ~ 14th Mar 2010

Ronny, who runs the place, is the man. If you are worried about getting overwhelmed and lost in a strange place, Ronny will be there for you. He picked us up at the bus and when we forgot a pair of hiking boots on the bus he took us to get them. If we were lost in the rain forest, I'm pretty sure he would come save us. I have been in Costa Rica for three months and this is the nicest and least expensive hostel that i have been to. Ronnie and his family are helpful and lovnig. I would recommend this hostel to families, couples, groups, anyone. Breakfast was great, kitchen was easy to use for cooking, beds were comfortable, movies and tv were great, internet was great, bathrooms were clean and showers were hot. great hostel! Ronnie and his family really seem to take pride in their place and in taking care of their guests. They were really helpful in getting to know the area and their breakfast was delish. We stayed here for 3 days and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and character of the place. The breakfast was great considering it was so inexpensive to stay there and it was very clean as well.
