Rooms are very noisy due to thin walls and wooden floors. They are also small and a pricey for what you get. Clair, from England ~ 26th Aug 2009

This place is very expensive when you consider the wonderful place to stay in luang prabang. you are paying for the chance to meet other young backpackers, not for a nice place to stay. there are many other ways to meet people that can still allow you to stay in a place where you don't have to pay for your own toilet paper. a bit overpriced, but good for ppl travelling alone as it is very social! Carinne, from England ~ 4th Jul 2009

Typical of most hostels, the environment and staff mold to create a perfect social atmosphere, complete with evening entertainment and cleanliness. I would expect nothing less from Noom and Pog's Spicy hostels. (see spicy thai for more details) Jason, from Canada ~ 6th Jun 2009

Pretty good but pretty expensive - you can get a nicer room in town for about half the price, although not with breakfast. It is very social though, so if you're on your own and want to meet people maybe good. Dorms are ridiculously cramped. Nicholas, from New Zealand ~ 11th Feb 2009

Pong, thanks for making my trip so memorable. Spicyloas is the place you want to stay at while in Luang Prabang. eli, from Canada ~ 14th Jan 2009

This is the best hostel my friends and I have ever stayed in. Pong is amazing and the atmosphere is super fun, accomodations are that of the hostel variety and extremely clean and comfortable. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Luang Prabang. Ashley, from USA ~ 1st Jan 2009

best (and maybe only) hostel in luang prabang. long live the spicy empire PAUL, from USA ~ 1st Jan 2009

There was a nice atmosphere and we loved having the hangout space. The staff was really nice and the history talk was really worth it and informative. The room was not very clean and semi-expensive for Laos. The bathrooms were also not that great. The hostel was also a little out of town but not too far, 10 minute walk. I liked the place but it does not deserve its high ratings. Alison, from USA ~ 4th Jan 2009
