I simply loved the place! The location is very strategic to move around in a middle class neighborhood. Staff were helpful & nice. Breakfast & diners were super nice. The facilities, rooms, towels, sheets were clean. I definetely recommend the place. Alice, from Belgium ~ 15th Mar 2012

I Like this hostel very much. It´s close to theUrca and the Sugar Loafand also a few bloks to the bus to the Train to Corcovado. By Bus you can reach Copacabana an Ipanema very easy. The metro is very close too. Its surrounded by nice bars (at Rua Sao Clemente's) where you can share a beer with friends. Botafogo is a nice place! MARIA SELVA, from Argentina ~ 18th Feb 2012

Still a new hostel, but first signs of abrasion are visible. Poor noise isolation. Bathroom facilities have a light sensor that does not work properly, you may have to shower/use the toilet in the dark, maybe that improves? There is air condition from 10 pm to 10 am and more if you ask in a friendly way. Metro is quite far away, but still ok. Staff very friendly but sometimes scatterbrained. Of the four hostels I have stayed in Rio.Stand Fast is the best by far.This new hostel has very modern decor, the staff are helpful, location is good (near Bogafoto Metro), and they have some excellent meals during the week for 10 Reals. Mark, from USA ~ 26th Nov 2011
