It was not a hostel, rather a converted 3bdrm flat. Since it's a small space, it was really easy to get to know other travelers. There was a kitchen to use, but Guangzhou has so much good food you won't need to cook. It felt very cramped. There were 2 bths in the flat, but you can only shower in one of them so the queue ended up being really long. I waited for 1.5 hours at night to shower, then just gave up and went to bed. We chose Sunflower's home hostel because it was the only one left in Guangzhou during the Canton Trade Fair. We had no idea we were in for such a plesent suprise! The Hostel is located on the 7th floor of some apartment building, impossible to find without vivians photo instructions. And if the pictures don't come through when she sends the confirmation email, hit her up for them because this place is almost impossible to find without it. LUKE, from Australia ~ 18th Oct 2011

One of the best hostels i ever stayed. In fact it feels more like staying in a friends place because the owners put a lot of heart into their hostel. Stayed already in other hostels in guangzhou but this is by far the best! Can only recommend it! Malte, from Germany ~ 25th Jan 2012

Sunflower is brand new and terrific!Vivian is friendly, helpful and even prepares family style dinners for the guests. Very difficult to find...in a high rise residential building, but safe and secure.Close to the metro too. Highly recommend staying here! Brandy, from USA ~ 3rd Sep 2011

Very nice hostel. It is really basic but has everything you need. Vivienne (the owner) makes very nice lunch and dinner which you can join at a small cost. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and the wi-fi is good. This was the last hostel I stayed in after 6 weeks in China and I think it's a good value. Remark: Make sure you follow the instructions LITERALLY. The hostel is located on the 7th floor of the building, could be difficult to find if you don't know about it.
