The King Angkor Villa en Bogota, Camboya

This isn\'t a great hostel and it\'s not a horrible hostel. Apparently there is suppossed to be wifi available in the rooms, but I could barely pick it up, and most of the time it was on the fritz. Not a horrible place to stay but the \"Khmer Art\" they advertise was just some scarves on the wall..nothing special. Also once you get there they try to push tours and such on you, which can be a bit annoying. The location is good, walking distance from the town markets and such. Elizabeth, from USA ~ 2nd Feb 2012

Highly recommend the King Angkor Villa. The staff is exceptionally great, breakfast is included, and the rooms are very clean. Wifi didnt work in the rooms but works in the lobby.The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that their guests are happy. Very pleased with our stay there. Kimberly, from USA ~ 22nd Jan 2012

I thought this place was great for what we paid for. Comfy beds, hot water, towels, computers, and friendly staff. It's also within walking distance of 2 shopping markets, grocery store, banks, food, etc. Very convenient. Only complaint was that they were a bit pushy about tours. When asking about visiting places we weren't given much info except an offer to take us there and how much that would cost. I booked at the King Angkor Villa but was told that was full so they took me to another hostel/hotel they run called Tom and Jerry guest house. I still paid the same price for a location that was worse as it was further out of the way. Service was great but just have a bad taste in my mouth after the bait and switch with the hotel location. Not on the main street, but still only couple minutes to walk. THey help with tours to Angkor and give advice for other things to do. They try to sell you a lot of tours, but if you say no its ok. I'm not sure what I did wrong, because my room was not cleaned duringmy stay, but on the other hand, I got a huge 3bed instead of a single. bathroom was ok, however, others complained about broken showers and on my last day several guys were in the hotel to repair them! would stay there again!
