This hostel is very very small. The 8 person bunk area is also the walkway for the 4 person and 6 person rooms, so it's very noisy for people to sleep there. There is one common room, but the owners live there and they monopolize the television and living room, so it's uncomfortable to use the kitchen and free internet which are in that small area since they're always there. The internet is free, the staff are always there for security at night and it tells you before you book that the 8 bed is a walk through. There is no 4 bed dorm. However there are some good hotels in Tallinn.

I came late in the night and left early in the morning. So mz review is not from a lot of experirnce with the Monks Bunk. But it was nice to stay and they welcomed me and my baby very warm there.

If you are going to Tallinn ,you MUST stay in this hostel. It is located in the heart of the old town, fully equipped with brand new stuff, and the people who work there are the BEST. It is the best choice if you want to make friends and you want to party. I was traveling by myself in Esthonia and in Monk's Bulk I found the coolest people to party with. By far the best hostel in Tallinn!

The people that run this Hostel are so chilled and there is an excellent social aspect to it for single travellers like my good self!! It all feels very very cosy as everyone gathers around for debates and stories from their own travels within the kitchen area in the evening. I met some excellent people here.
The showers are excellent and the rooms are mega quiet at night...so you actually sleep, which is a bonus for most hostels in my experience!
Take care monk's bunk...I'll be back.

A really fun easygoing atmosphere and crowd staying here. Location is the best, right in the middle of all the sites and shopping too. It is extremely clean. However, what made this a most spectacular stay was Tim and the other staff who always made you feel welcome and happy to help.

One of the best locations of the city, also with the best shower I've ever used ;-) No shared living room but that doesn't matter, because the kitchen can accomodate a party too..
