Close to the airport, safe/clean enough, terrible mattresses. Only a 75-120 peso taxi ride from the airport, this is a decent place to stay, though not near anything you'd want to see in Manila (though there's not that much in the city anyway). The staff are nice, private rooms are fine and clean, though the mattresses I had in 3 separate rooms were all very, very worn out. Nonetheless, it was good enough, and I ended up staying 3 nights at different times b/c of the convenience factor.
Thanks Derek for your feedback! If you could email me the names or rates of the 3 rooms you stayed: I have a good look at the mattresses and can either replace them or add another 2 to 4 inch foam inside the leatherette mattresses covers. Happy Travels, Bill

As many on here have said, you get what you pay for.Our reservation wasn't communicated to the staff, but they were really fast to sort it out, and another guest in the lobby assured me that they were really great.I'm not an aircon person, but there are no screens on the windows so you're better off paying a little extra for it.No major complaints - if you're on a budget it's just fine.
Thanks Ann for posting the simple truth. My wife and I did NOT design our hostel so there are ventilation problems, Manila, a city of 12 Million has serious air pollution and water supply problems making it a huge challenge to keep our place as clean as the European destinations many of the hostelworld clients are more exposed to staying. Hopefully with time these problems will be sorted out and we have plans of expanding and adapting in the upcoming years.

So dirty and old!It's very out of the center and nothing around to walk to.They did not have my reservation and i had to bargain hard just to get the room i paid for.Bed was wet from a leak and blankets were old and dirty.No bugs though.Worst hostel ive ever stayed in other thsn a bug infested room in India.They need to spend a serious amount of money updating and it appears they could because the owners also sell real estate!Sheesh....no priorities. adam, from USA ~ 5th Aug 2011
