Tupiniquim Hostel en Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The staff are really great-- very helpful people who always were able to lend a hand or answer questions day or night. They also speak perfect English. The neighborhood isn't luxurious but it felt safe enough. I could walk to a few restaurants, and the metro takes me to the beach in about 10 minutes. Unfortunately the building's state of total disrepair and general uncleanliness make Tupiniquim a hostel I won't be returning to. an average hostel, some times the staff is nice, some times not, need aircondition in all the rooms, open it only in 9pm to 9am, sometimes have nice company there, some times not...internet cost monet, toallas cost money, sometime dont have hot water, the toilet it not very good, good dinners! from only 10 reals! nice movies to see in the DVD (god city!) expensive tours! but all of the hostel are the same... chen, from Israel ~ 21st Mar 2009
