For the cheap weekend away, or a place to call your own for a short time, its good. I did not enter with huge expectations but I did find more than I expected. The freedom of movement was nice, also the ability to buy transit tokens and the front desk was nice, don't true to buy any with more than a $10 bill though. For the low budget, self sufficient type it is a steal. If you need a cheap room for the Pride Parade you have found it, also alot of availability. I got in the Friday of Pride weeke

Once a year, attending a conference, I stay in college residences in different towns in Canada. Since I am in my late 70s, it's like revisiting my youth. I thought New College was well designed, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Common rooms, washrooms etc looked a little tired and well and truly used, and could do with refurbishing, though.

Place was pretty good. beds pretty uncomfy but when you are hammered it is great! We wanted to go to a bar and the guy told us the closest one was about a 5-10 min walk up the street. THERE WAS A BAR RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET!!!! ah well what can you do... security was very good. they only bad thing about it is when you are completly hammered it is very hard to get into the place and the door to the room you have to swipe the card again to lock it...it isnt automatic which we did not know and left
