The staff went far out of their way to meet our needs.I previously read through comments from others, and the stuff that upset some commentarians was just stuff that is normal in traveling China. It is a fun part of orienteering through another culture. Kim, from USA ~ 13th Mar 2012

Great place to stay with a great value. It's not advertised much but the rooms come with heated sheets which were fantastic since we visited in the winter. Staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and speak good English. They sell their own tour packages but they also give great directions if you want to see the local attractions on your own. Location is pretty convenient and is across the corner from a large mall. Gerald, from Canada ~ 11th Jan 2012

The location is a pretty far walk from most of the sights, but I suppose there are probably buses (I never bothered with them). The facilities are nice with ensuite bathrooms, and the common areas are also very nice. Jocelyn, from USA ~ 15th Feb 2012

Very nice and helpful staff, nice parties on evenings, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hostel ! Christophe, from France ~ 6th Dec 2011

We choose Wada because it's location is near to Railway Station which is convenient for us to take coach to Longji Terrace. There's very noisy and dusty when we checked in due to there are renovation work. We were informed there was no water supply until 6 PM. Wi-fi is very weak in the room, you have to be in lobby for a better connection.

This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in.The staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. It might have been a teensy bit loud but overall it was really good. Suzanne, from USA ~ 29th Oct 2011

Our only complaint is that, like all the other hostels we stayed at in China, there is no public kitchen or refrigerator. Otherwise, Wada was near-perfect. Our twin private room was spacious and clean (by Chinese standards). The staff were knowledgable and generous with their time. There were two free computers with Internet. The 10 bus runs straight from the hostel to downtown Guilin. The hostel's decor was attractive and there were lots of cool people staying there. Zeb, from USA ~ 30th Sep 2011
