Great staff, accessible location, nice rooms.Not much social interaction opportunity with fellow guests but thats not what I was looking for anyway.I would definitely recommend this hostel.The only negative thing I would say is that the bathrooms leave something to be desired. LOVED THIS PLACE!Great location for skytrain, the rooms were very clean and good size, beds comfy.The staff are super friendly, so genuine and happy ALL THE TIME, they made me feel very welcome. Great price and lots of lockers and secure places for your luggage etc. Hot showers and a balcony to hang any clothes etc. Free wifi(expect in 8 bed dorms). The day trip to floating market/rose garden was not worth it however this was not operated by the hostel so they were not to blame.I miss this place Kelly, from Scotland ~ 14th Mar 2012

Had a good stay there. The Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Room very small but was okay for me, make sure aircondition is not to cold for you because you can not change by yourself or turn off because is for more rooms. Finally i can recommend. Rico, from Germany ~ 12th Mar 2012

I stayed at YHA Bangkok for three nights in March 2012. I found the rooms to be a good value for the money and the staff was very helpful and hospitable. There were many other young travelers there and I was able to make some new friends. It's also located very close to the MTR/Skytrain so it's convenient to get to other places around the city. This is one of the worst hostels I have ever been. The bathrooms have no lockers and you have to climb two or three floors to arrive in the rooms - and the small lockers - you have to pay for the big ones - are on the basement, so do not forget your things there, otherwise you will be forced to workout. The location, just one train station from the famous patpong street, is not bad, but I would recommend to get a hostel in the Khaosan Road street area, where everything happens.
Dear Luiz, Its like you tried to write as negatve as possible although we already stated everything on the website! To climb up, this thing we keep saying again and again on the webste that we have no elevator .. The international standard size locker is free of charge.. that's not good enough for you? Our "super big locker is only for "long term rent" for someone who will be away from bangkok for long time. Our hostel is right next to the skytrain so that you can get around bangkok easily.

Dear Lei Chen, As you told our staff that this is your first time to stay in the hostel .. So we just would like to tell you that our room is not small but it's about the same size as any other hostel in Bangkok :) Regards & Have a nice trip ^^

I know that hostels in Thailand are probably not up to the standard of other world wide hostels, but I did expect more from one that came under the YHA/HI banner, especially when paying double the average price. I spent 3 nights in a four bed mixed dorm: this was tiny, the lockers were down at the first floor and the room on the 3rd, and the toilets and showers were cramped and often dirty/flooded. I gave up and moved to a private room, which fixed everything except the toilets/showers.
It's correct that the hostels in Thailand are running way behind world-wide standard, but we do not understand why you mentioned that you paid double the average price since our price is the lowest one in downtown Silom area !!! Regarding the toilets and showers, although our housekeeper clean it 5 times a day but it's still hard to control the cleanliness of the shared bathroom and toilets which are heavily used by plenty of guests. By the way, for guests prefering to keep away from the atmosphere of "shared facilities", we suggest you better book the "Standard Private room ensuite" which is much better ;)
