We found this hostel to be a wonderful experience. The building is gorgeous and has lots of period features, like a fireplace in the spacious womens dorm room that we stayed in. It was very affordable, however, they charge you for absolutely everything, including WIFI, which is 5 GBP to use 24 hours, kind of a bad deal. Its a quick bus ride from downtown or you can take a taxi for cheap if you get lazy. The common areas are nice and the kitchen is enormous. I would definitely stay here again. I had a broken bed light, the beautiful balcony was out of order and the bathroom a little dirty. But the price apologised that! It´s not easy to stay cheaper in Bath. The team of YHA was nice, but didn´t fulfill my wish to repair the bed light (because they had a lot to do).. Julia, from Germany ~ 4th Aug 2011

never saw anyone at the front desk. a maid had to check us in.no car park, you have to park your car on a very steep hill and hike to the hostel.but it was clean and an interesting building. Jasie, from USA ~ 14th Jul 2011

Yes, I had organised to have cooked breakfast for 5 of my family and was told in the morning NO as I didn't have tokens. I said to the girl that I was not told i needed tokensthe night before just the number of people for cooked breakfast. She was quite rude in front of people which was embarrsing for me and my family.
