the cumputer does not work after i put 1$ for 10 munites,and i think it is expensive for that,the lady at the reception does not want to see what the problem is because she said she can not live the reception even for 1 munite and the time is running out and only after she got a permition for the guy at the reception she left it and she did not solve the problem. eli from israel lifshitz, from Israel ~ 29th Mar 2012

Awesome location!!! Staff were very nice and accommodating. There were plenty of bathrooms on each floor for the number of guests. It was clean and in a very safe neighborhood close to everything. Nothing fancy but very functional. Linens and towels were provided at no extra cost. Not a big party place (it's a Y, duh) but a great place to get a good night's sleep after a night out. The building has no character. Looks like a big hotel. No color. No atmosphere. In my room there was a dirty smudge on the wall right by my bed. The bathroom was so dirty that I didn't even dare brush my teeth or take a shower, so I didn't. When my girlfriend used the toilet brush, flies came out of it. You can tell that it's not regularly cleaned. Old dirt's accumulated in the corners. Stains and smudges near the sink. The dirtiest place I've ever been, also the most expensive. Spacious rooms & one-person bathrooms shared on the hall with an economical price.And while we didn't take advantage of it, there also is a cafeteria available for breakfast and dinner.In addition, it's located right next to Christchurch's beautiful botanical garden, and not far from the center of the city (albeit, the center still is recovering from the terrible devastation of the earthquakes earlier this year).I highly recommend this hostel!!
